Landscape Architect: Vida Design Studio

Project Scope: Lush landscape plantings, specimen palm planting, irrigation and booster pump, outdoor lighting, custom fountain, intricate masonry walkways and courtyards

Formerly an orphanage and most recently a hostel, the renovation of St. Vincent’s campus into a luxury boutique hotel creates a major positive impact in the Lower Garden District neighborhood. Mullin played a Design-Assist role by working diligently with the project team, including Palmisano, Kupperman Companies, Vida Design Studio, and Metro Studio to allow the outdoor features to promote the lush, high-end feel that the developers and designers desired while remaining within the project’s budget. The end result is an environment with a tropical feel that still corresponds to the traditional New Orleans neighborhood surrounding it.
