Emergency Tree Removal and Storm Mitigation at Shell Norco After Hurricane Francine

Location: Norco, LA
Project Scope:

In the aftermath of Hurricane Francine, Mullin Landscape was called upon to support the recovery and safety efforts in the Norco community. Our team assessed and identified over 500 mature trees—each averaging over 30 feet in height—as potential threats to residents, property, and critical infrastructure. These trees, compromised by the storm, posed a high risk of falling or shedding debris in future severe weather. Within a tight 15-working-day window, we safely removed or trimmed all hazardous trees across the area.

The proactive mitigation strategy proved invaluable when a severe snowstorm later struck Norco. Thanks to our earlier work, no tree-related damage was reported, and the remaining trees withstood the extreme weather conditions without incident. This project not only underscored the importance of preventative landscape management but also demonstrated Mullin’s capability to respond quickly and effectively in high-stakes, community-critical situations.
